The 2010-2015 Kiwanis International Worldwide Service Project is the Eliminate Project, eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus across the globe. The intention is to raise $110 million for UNICEF to vaccinate and educate women in the most remote areas of the Southeast Asia, Africa, and Haiti. For just $1.80, a woman of childbearing age can receive a series of three tetanus shots that will protect her and her unborn children from contracting tetanus through spores in the dirt.
The Kiwanis Club of Fargo pledged in 2012 to become a 100K Club! We have raised more than $56,500 so far. Thanks to Dave Cole, Rick Stern, Jim Stewart, Msgr.
