Annually we send delegates to attend the Kiwanis International Convention, which is held in various parts of the world as international members come together for fellowship and leadership. This year was an exceptionally special event as we celebrated 100 years of Kiwanis since it's founding in 1915. Members Ned Halilovec, David Gregor, Kent Hochgraber, and Courtney Taylor attended the Kiwanis International Convention this year. It was a monumental year with Kiwanis electing the first female president. It is also hard to believe that there are currently 237,000 key clubbers, more than the 207,000 Kiwanians worldwide. 659 clubs were represented and 2,558 delegates....

Congratulations to Shanara Lassig on winning the $5000 travel voucher to Kvamme Travel. Shanara owns a pre-school in Fargo and teaches piano lessons. She bought 3 raffle tickets at the Pancake Karnival, and Kiwanian Alex Demkiw sold her the winning ticket! Shanara will follow-up with us on what she will use the voucher for. We were able to raise $15,000, all of which will go towards the Kiwanis Eliminate Project to end neonatal and maternal tetanus worldwide. It costs only $1.80 for a vaccination, so this raffle enabled us to protect over 8,333 lives.
